Australia, US edge closer to landing RWC hosting rights under revamped model

Australia has today (Wednesday) been named by World Rugby as the exclusive ‘Preferred Candidate’ to host the 2027 Rugby World Cup, with the international federation to enter into “exclusive targeted dialogue” with the USA over the hosting of the 2031 tournament.
