SportBusiness is pleased to announce that entries are now open for the 2022 edition of the SportBusiness Postgraduate Course Rankings, the world’s leading annual survey of the leading degrees in sport management and administration.
It’s very simple: complete or share the alumni or course leader survey using the links below. Surveys should take less than 5 minutes to complete.
The results will be announced in September 2022. A full breakdown of the top courses in North America, Europe, as well as graduates’ and professors’ choices of top courses, will be published, alongside a range of other content designed to contextualise the rankings and offer a more qualitative view of the courses.

For this year’s rankings, the 11th since we launched this project in 2012, we have appointed an entirely new expert advisory board to help us guide the direction of the surveys and the questions asked to both alumni and course leaders. Our panel has updated the scoring methodology, ensuring that we continue to deliver the most reliable and respected rankings system for postgraduate sports management courses.
The surveys now include:
- Perceptual analysis on student experiences (e.g. Return On Investment insights, job preparation, etc.)
- Evaluation of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in programs
- Analysis of professional mentorship and advocacy
- Extended insight into Covid- 19’s impact on careers
Last year’s surveys drew responses from over 1,000 course leaders and alumni, and we’re hoping to make 2022 the most in-depth research we’ve undertaken to date.
