Four Asian football federations back holding a biennial Fifa World Cup

The football federations of Bangladesh, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka have come out in support of Fifa, world football's governing body, holding the men's and women's World Cups every two years rather than every four, calling for the worldwide calendar to “fit the modern age” and to “increase global competitiveness”.
