Qatar makes sizeable cut to World Cup budget, claims progress on worker welfare

Qatar’s Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC), which is responsible for delivering the stadia and infrastructure for football’s 2022 Fifa World Cup, has said it has succeeded in reducing its budget by at least 40 per cent and has claimed progress in improving workers’ welfare.
