Redevelopment plan laid out as Melbourne seeks to lock down Australian Open

The Victorian state government has unveiled plans for a new 5,000-seat arena to be built at Melbourne Park, home of the Australian Open, as part of the latest stage of redevelopment plans to ensure the grand slam tennis tournament continues to be staged at the venue.
