Rio 2016 chief Nuzman handed 30-year prison sentence for corruption

Carlos Nuzman, the former president of the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB) and figurehead of the 2016 summer Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, has been sentenced to 30 years and 11 months in prison for allegedly buying votes during the city’s bid to host the Games.
