Sheikh Ahmad enhances power base with seat at Fifa’s top table

Kuwait’s Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah has further solidified his status as one of sport’s key powerbrokers after being elected unopposed as one of Asia’s three ordinary representative’s on Fifa’s Executive Committee, as it was confirmed that Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa would continue as president of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
