Spain’s competition regulator, the Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y La Competencia, is reported to have been backed by the Audiencia Nacional, the country’s high court, over sanctions it handed out to telecoms operator Telefónica back in 2015 relating to the marketing of football rights.
