The National Football League stands to gain more than $2.3bn (€1.9bn) per year in additional revenue thanks to legalised sports betting, according to a recent Nielsen Sports study. The study, commissioned by the American Gaming Association (AGA), cites two potential new revenue streams for the league: money paid directly from betting operators, and money from increased fan engagement.
