Unprepared sponsors express mixed feelings on world golf commercial merger

DP World, title sponsor of the European Tour group's flagship DP World Tour, was one of several golf sponsors given scant or non-existent notice of this week’s shock announcement of the commercial merger between the PGA Tour, the DP World Tour and the Saudi-owned LIV Golf breakaway competition.
